Membership Advantages
Appealing Size
The MSMA is smaller than the AMI, which allows for more relaxed, personal relationship-building time with members. Members do not compete with hundreds of
other people for the time or attention of the people you want to talk with.
Members are Management
MSMA members are the decision-makers and operations managers – upper management – for their respective companies. So whether you need to brainstorm with a
colleague or meet a prospective customer, you have the proper forum to meet.
Industry Events
MSMA has 3 events designed to provide ample networking among members: the annual fishing trip, golf outing and convention.
Scholarships
MSMA awards 3 scholarships to graduate students in meat science programs at participating universities. MSMA also supports their Meat Judging programs.
Supplier/Packer Interaction
MSMA works hard to ensure supplier-packer interaction. Events are designed around networking and interaction, with every opportunity taken for members to showcase their organization, products and services.
Industry Resource
The MSMA serves as an industry resource to assist members with questions and concerns regarding policy and legislation, human resources and personnel issues, and even business and operations matters. With our network of resources and information, if those concerns cannot be directly addressed, MSMA can provide references.

Member Testimony
"Membership in MSMA is one of the best investments we make as an organization. As members of MSMA, suppliers to our industry are provided a setting that allows them the opportunity to interact socially with senior leadership of member companies. In addition, membership allows processing companies to interact with one-another in a non-competitive environment. The size of our organization also fosters the development of true friendships that endure for decades. These characteristics are seldom found in larger industry organizations." "One of the greatest benefits of being an MSMA member is the seminars that are presented at the annual meeting from academia, government, and business individuals. These programs educate the members about important issues that can impact their businesses" "Being a member of MSMA has provided our company the opportunity to grow with many of the processors in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. The entire organization is made up of a close family of business associates that provide an excellent avenue to network and share the latest technologies, trends and regulatory activity in our industry." |
